1. Our Commitment
SocialWeb Strategy believes that everyone — regardless of ability or disability — should be able to access and benefit from Immobilix. We are committed to ensuring that our website and application are accessible to the widest possible audience, in accordance with internationally recognised accessibility standards.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Immobilix is designed with accessibility as a core consideration from the outset, not as an afterthought. We regularly test the platform with assistive technologies and consult accessibility guidelines during the development process to ensure we maintain and improve our conformance over time.
2. Measures We Take
SocialWeb Strategy takes the following concrete measures to support accessibility across Immobilix:
- Semantic HTML5 structure: All pages are built using meaningful, structured HTML5 elements — including appropriate heading hierarchies, landmark regions (
main, nav, footer, aside), and semantic form elements — to ensure that assistive technologies can accurately interpret and navigate our content. - ARIA labels on all interactive elements: All buttons, links, icons, form inputs, and custom UI components include descriptive
aria-labeloraria-labelledbyattributes where native HTML semantics alone are insufficient to convey purpose. - Keyboard navigable interface: All functionality available via mouse or touch is equally accessible via keyboard alone. Tab order is logical and predictable throughout the application.
- Minimum colour contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (WCAG AA): All text and meaningful UI elements meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 Level AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their background, ensuring readability for users with low vision or colour vision deficiencies.
- Scalable text — works at 200% zoom: The Immobilix interface is fully functional and readable when browser text size is increased up to 200%, without loss of content or functionality, in accordance with WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.4.
- Alt text on all non-decorative images: Every image that conveys information or context includes descriptive alternative text. Purely decorative images use empty alt attributes (
alt="") to be correctly ignored by screen readers. - Focus indicators on all interactive elements: Visible focus indicators are provided for all keyboard-focusable elements throughout the interface, ensuring that keyboard-only users can always see where their focus is positioned.
- Screen reader tested with NVDA and VoiceOver: We conduct regular accessibility testing using NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS to verify that our interface is usable by screen reader users across major platforms.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, we are aware of the following current limitations in our accessibility provision:
- 3D WebGL room staging viewer: The interactive 3D virtual staging viewer featured on the homepage and within the staging editor is built using WebGL technology, which does not currently support screen reader interaction due to the inherently graphical and spatial nature of 3D rendering. To mitigate this limitation, we provide a text-based description of the 3D scene alongside the viewer, which conveys the room layout, selected furniture items, and their approximate positions in plain language accessible to screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation within the staging editor: While the primary navigation and account management areas of Immobilix are fully keyboard accessible, we have identified areas within the advanced staging editor — specifically the drag-and-drop furniture placement tool — where keyboard navigation is limited. We are actively working to address this in our next major release, targeted for Q3 2026. In the interim, users who require full keyboard accessibility for the staging editor are encouraged to contact our support team at accessibility@Immobilix.com for assisted staging support.
We are committed to resolving all known limitations as part of our ongoing accessibility programme and will update this statement as improvements are released.
4. Technical Specifications
The accessibility of Immobilix relies on the following technologies and standards:
- HTML5 — semantic structure and document outline
- CSS3 — visual presentation, responsive layout, and focus styling
- WAI-ARIA 1.2 — supplementary accessibility semantics for dynamic and custom UI components
- JavaScript (ES2020+) — progressive enhancement; core content is accessible without JavaScript
Immobilix is compatible with the following browsers and assistive technology combinations:
- Google Chrome 120 or later (Windows, macOS, Android)
- Mozilla Firefox 121 or later (Windows, macOS)
- Apple Safari 17 or later (macOS, iOS)
- Microsoft Edge 120 or later (Windows)
Colour contrast has been verified using axe DevTools (Deque Systems), and automated accessibility audits are run as part of our continuous integration (CI) pipeline using axe-core to catch regressions before each release.
