Traditional physical staging costs thousands of dollars, takes days to arrange, and only benefits the rare listing with a generous budget. We built Immobilix to change that equation entirely.
Our mission is to democratize professional-grade staging so every agent — from a solo practitioner in a small market to a top producer at a global brokerage — can present every listing at its absolute best. With AI and real furniture from the world's best retailers, we're leveling the playing field one room at a time.
How we started
Sarah Mitchell spent 12 years as a senior agent at Sotheby's International Realty, watching empty listings sit on the market while staged ones flew off the shelf. Frustrated by the cost and complexity of physical staging, she began searching for a better solution. In 2020, she connected with James Chen, a computer vision engineer who had spent six years at Google building AI image systems.
Together, they saw the opportunity clearly: pair AI-powered room rendering with authentic product catalogs from leading furniture retailers — IKEA, Pottery Barn, West Elm, and more — so agents could generate photo-realistic staged rooms in minutes, not days. They incorporated Immobilix in early 2021, raised a seed round that summer, and launched to the public in Q4 of the same year. Within six months, 2,000 agents had signed up. Today we serve over 12,000 real estate professionals across 38 countries.
Where we're headed
We're expanding our retailer catalog to 100+ global partners by end of 2026, launching fully automated AI room analysis, and building direct integrations with every major MLS and listing portal. Our north star remains unchanged: every property deserves to be seen at its full potential, and every professional deserves tools powerful enough to make that happen.
